Film isn’t only about what we see, it’s just as much about what we hear.
We are excited to partner with Filmtonfrauen as an FFFB8 partner. Filmtonfrauen is a professional network dedicated to connecting and increasing the visibility of women working across the many different fields of film sound, an area of filmmaking that often doesn’t get nearly enough attention.
And this year, we’re joining forces for a very special FFFB panel:
THE POWER OF SOUND: WOMEN SHAPING STORIES THROUGH FILM SOUND

Together with Claudia Mattai del Moro, Anastasiia Nasonkina and Fanny “Thera” Harisch, we’ll explore the creative power of sound across production sound, sound design and mixing and how what we hear can build atmosphere, create tension and intimacy, shape emotion and completely transform the way we experience a story.
The conversation will also shine a light on the experiences of women working in film sound and representation within the creative and technical departments behind the camera.
