“ALTYN-KAZYK: THE GOLDEN STAKE", by Jina Song (South Korea🇰🇷), takes us into the community of "Altyn-Kazyk", home to more than 16,000 people living near the city’s largest landfill.

Many residents, particularly women, work tirelessly on the mountain to support their families, while facing the devastating effects of pollution that reach across generations. Yet amid these harsh realities, the film finds something equally powerful: a community rooted in dignity, resilience, purpose and hope. 🌱

Jina Song is a documentary filmmaker and environmental activist from Seoul, South Korea. Passionate about advancing climate justice around the world, she uses documentary storytelling to illuminate communities through true stories and highlight the human connections at the heart of environmental issues.
