Film Intro: BUEN VIVIR - ÑUTSE CANSEYE

What happens when protecting your land, culture and future means standing up against a global system of power? 🌿

"BUEN VIVIR - ÑUTSE CANSEYE" by Zoé Nathalie Kugler (Switzerland), takes us to the Amazon region, where oil extraction is slowly contaminating the land and water while threatening the health, livelihoods and traditional culture of local communities.

At its centre are thirteen women resisting the destruction of their land through protest and quiet acts of defiance. 🌎 Their fight reaches far beyond the Amazon, raising questions about global responsibility, resource exploitation and environmental justice.

Zoé Nathalie Kugler is a freelance filmmaker, photographer and graphic designer based in Zurich, Switzerland. She studied at the Zurich University of the Arts, with "Buen vivir – ñutse canseye" created as her graduation film during an exchange year at the University of the Arts in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
