When Camille finds herself envying the simplicity and usefulness of a perfectly designed chair, a surreal body swap turns that wish into reality. What follows is a bold, darkly funny fable about identity, femininity, objectification and the desire to be seen or perhaps, not seen at all.
Starring Juliette Lewis, Mamoudou Athie, Samantha Mathis, Robin Tunney & Udo Kier, with narration by Melanie Griffith, "By Design" already celebrated a successful premiere at the opening night of the Sundance Film Festival.
Amanda Kramer is an award-winning writer and director named by IndieWire as one of the directors set to define the next decade.
