As part of our "Resistance Thursday", we are screening the powerful Spanish feature documentary "CORREN LAS LIEBRES" ("Up & Running"), directed by Lorena Ros Sanz. 🇪🇸

After eight years in prison, Noa, a 48-year-old Spanish Romani trans woman, fights to regain custody of her twin sons while facing eviction on the margins of Barcelona. Filmed over five years, "Corren las liebres" is an intimate portrait of lives too often pushed to the edges and of dignity, friendship and mutual care as forms of resistance.

🎥 Lorena Ros Sanz is an award-winning filmmaker, documentary photographer and journalist whose work explores memory, identity, trauma and social exclusion. A three-time World Press Photo winner, she developed the film through years of close collaboration with Barcelona’s Metzineres community.
