TARTUCA 🐢 by Giulia Tivelli (Italy), is an intimate and heartbreaking portrait of the bond between fifteen-year-old Alice and Lelo, her Congolese nanny. After more than a decade inside a suffocating bourgeois family unable to express affection, Lelo decides to leave her job and her departure exposes the emotional fractures that have long remained unspoken.

Giulia Tivelli studied film at RUFA, specializing in directing and art direction. Her work spans documentary, animation and fiction, with an ongoing interest in identity, relationships and human connection. 🎬
