Who holds the power - the person looking, or the person being looked at?
In "SHE IS CALLIOPE", by Erica Chung Yee Kwok (Germany / Hong Kong / United Kingdom), a young woman becomes the muse Calliope inside an art studio, observed and painted by the artists around her. But as her attention shifts towards the statues beside her, something begins to change and gradually, she transforms into a statue herself.
Erica Chung Yee Kwok is an independent filmmaker and screenwriter from Hong Kong, combining social commentary with youthful and feminine perspectives, her work explores larger social tensions through everyday spaces.
