Film Intro: Muddled Meals

When caring for someone you love becomes too much to carry alone, how do you know when it’s time to ask for help? ❤️

In "MUDDLED MEALS" by Christie Arnold (UK 🇬🇧), Sandra is doing everything she can to care for her mother Bev, who is living with dementia. But when a care home place becomes available, she must face an impossible choice.

Tender, warm and deeply human, "Muddled Meals" is a moving story about love, caregiving and discovering that healing sometimes begins by letting others help. 🖤

Christie Arnold is a London-based BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying filmmaker originally from the US. Her work focuses on how our hardest choices shape us at any age, with a passion for championing female-led stories. Her films have screened and won awards at festivals across the UK, US and Europe, and she is currently part of the 2026 ScreenSkills Editing Trainee cohort.
