In "2389: COMING HOME" by Kateryna Sazonova (USA 🇺🇸), a scientist and a soldier travel from a Martian colony back to an Earth devastated by climate change and resource wars. Their mission is to discover whether the planet is habitable again, but what they find forces them to question whether humanity should ever return.

Atmospheric and thought-provoking, "2389: Coming Home" blends sci-fi with environmental urgency, exploring our relationship with nature, belonging and the danger of repeating the same mistakes. 🌱

Kateryna Sazonova is a Ukrainian filmmaker and environmentalist based in the USA. Her work combines visual storytelling with environmental activism. In 2025, she won an Emmy for her public television work with WTTW/PBS Chicago.
