Film Intro: Oblivion

What happens when you’re no longer a child, but don’t feel ready to be an adult? 🌙

In "OBLIVION" by Alana Nastold (Germany 🇩🇪), a young woman caught between adolescence and adulthood embarks on an inner journey through fear, uncertainty and the unknown. Along the way, her anxieties take the form of mysterious creatures she must ultimately learn to face.

Dreamlike and beautifully handcrafted, "Oblivion" brings its coming-of-age world to life through analogue charcoal drawings, monotypes and digital illustrations, transforming the fears of growing up into a mystical visual journey. ✨

Alana Nastold is a German singer-songwriter, animator and filmmaker. Inspired by nature, folk tales and the human mind, she combines analogue techniques with digital illustration to create dreamy and atmospheric worlds.
