"SWIM SISTAS" by Catherine Joy White (UK), is a poetic and visually striking love letter to water, sisterhood and the enduring strength of Black women across generations.
Featuring the voice of Academy Award nominee Naomie Harris ("Moonlight"), the documentary is a celebration of connection, resilience, healing and hope, capturing a growing community of Black women reclaiming their place in the water and in history.
Catherine Joy White is an award-winning filmmaker, actor, author, activist and UN gender advisor, as well as the CEO of Kusini Productions. Named to the Forbes 30 Under 30, her work spans film, television, literature and activism.
