TODAY- FFFB 8 kicks off at 7pm!!!
FFFB 8 officially kicks off TONIGHT, Wednesday 7 October at 7 PM at Kino Moviemento and we’re more than ready to open the doors and celebrate five days of cinema together!
We’re starting with the German Premiere of Canadian feature BY DESIGN by Amanda Kramer A wonderfully unconventional and surreal story that plays with identity, desire and transformation AND asks what might happen when the boundary between a woman and the object she longs to become starts to disappear.
At 9:30 PM, we continue with our opening short film programme BETWEEN YOU & ME - a collection of international shorts diving into the beautiful, complicated, funny and sometimes painful ways we connect with one another.
Plus: Q&As with attending filmmakers, festival drinks, sweet treats and plenty of familiar and new faces to meet.
We’ve been waiting for this moment and can’t wait to welcome you to the 8th Female Filmmakers Festival Berlin!
7-11 October 2026
