A former IRA operative confronts the ghosts of her past in a final reckoning. Dying of cancer in an isolated safe house on the Northern Irish border, Erin Morrigan, once part of a covert IRA unit responsible for suspected informers, lives surrounded by memories of violence and betrayal.
When a teenage boy on the run arrives at her door, Erin reluctantly offers him shelter in exchange for his care. As her health deteriorates, their uneasy relationship deepens, forcing Erin to confront memories she has long tried to suppress. When she asks him to help end her life, his refusal brings them both face-to-face with questions of conscience, loyalty, remorse, and redemption.
