Short Film Programme: “The Art Of Resistance”
*100min/All films are screened in original language with English subtitles/Followed by Q&As with attending filmmakers
Resistance is not always loud. Sometimes it is a body in motion, a border crossed, a secret kept, a space reclaimed or simply the decision to keep going.
“The Art of Resistance” explores rebellion in its many forms: intimate and political, quiet and collective, born from necessity, anger, care or hope. From women taking their bodies into public space and confronting patriarchal power to lives shaped by dictatorship, migration, racial barriers and systems that demand too much, these films ask what happens when we refuse to accept the roles and realities imposed upon us.
Visceral, poetic and fiercely alive, “The Art of Resistance” is about breaking boundaries, claiming freedom and discovering that sometimes the very act of existing on your own terms is resistance.
