Film Intro: Even Though I Ate The Cake
What if the person you most need to talk to is a complete stranger hiding in the bathroom with you? π
"EVEN THOUGH I ATE THE CAKE" by Liese Kuhn (South Africa πΏπ¦), follows 34-year-old Maya as she attends the bachelorette party of an old university friend. Engaged herself, surrounded by people she barely knows and increasingly overwhelmed by the celebrations, she escapes to the bathroom for a moment alone...
Funny, surreal and heartfelt, "Even Though I Ate The Cake" is a story about female friendship, societal expectations, vulnerability and the unexpected freedom of finally saying what you really think. π₯
