Film Intro: Instructions for a body

How does power shape the body before it ever becomes visible as force?

"INSTRUCTIONS FOR A BODY", a music video by Maria Ines Quevedo Stuva (Peru ), explores the subtle ways discipline is learned, internalized and carried through posture, breath, movement and stillness.

Blending feminist and phenomenological ideas with a striking visual language, "Instructions for a Body" uses architecture, silence and gesture to examine how autonomy can exist within constraint.

Maria Ines Quevedo Stuva filmmaking places particular emphasis on rhythm, atmosphere and images that continue to resonate beyond the screen.
